Julie Desmet Weaver, auteur et metteuse en scène, s'engage dans l'exploration d'une écriture s'inscrivant dans de nouveaux dispositifs scéniques immersifs, en vue de proposer de nouvelles expériences aux spectateurs et d'initier des rencontres autour d’histoires littéraires, visuelles et sonores.


Julie Desmet Weaver, author, director and performer, is committed in 2017, in the exploration of a writing part of new scenic devices, to offer new experiences to viewers and initiate meetings around literary, visuals and sonores stories.

She writes and directs the show PHEDRE, la dernière danse with the Paris Opera dancer Jean Guizerix and receives the support of the National Dance Center and the Adami.

In January 2018, she won the Ciné Corps Festival Award for the presentation of a dance-film concept for a virtual reality experience.

Julie presents the project L’ECUME DES JOURS Rêverie virtuelle et sonore for the centenary of Boris Vian in 2019.
This project comes in two forms:
– An adaptation for an actor evolving in an interactive device on stage (1h15)
– An immersive and participative experience inside the collective virtual reality device of Black Euphoria : Le Cube (12mn)

This project is hosted as a creative residency at CENT-QUATRE and receives the support of Nicole Bertolt from Coherie Boris Vian, ADAMI Experience Days and the National Center for Cinema / Digital Experience (development)

In June 2018, Julie is laureate of the European program STARTS – HORIZON 2020 Research and Innovation (IRCAM / Pompidou Center)
