The Forum des images, which was behind the very first programming and broadcast of virtual reality films in France, is supporting this new medium through its development, documentary production, and promotional activities. The Forum des images is producing increasing numbers of short VR films, building up a body of eclectic works ranging from the futuristic drama PARIS 2050 by Charles Ayats (coproduced with Red Corner) to the documentary series Paris, l’envers du décor, which invites the public to rediscover emblematic Paris locations from an original perspective. The three films already coproduced with TV5Monde, including Le Musée d’Orsay by Vincent Ravalec, were recognized at the Swiss Web Festival 2018 in Lausanne, scooping the Audience Award in the “Culture and Entertainment” category. The series is continuing with two new episodes currently in preparation.
