Laurent Bazin


Laurent studied Philosophy and French Language and Literature before specialising in the performing arts.

He founded the Mesden theatre company where he writes and directs his own plays. Laurent Bazin, show after show, develops a strange, highly visual world that combines theatre, dance, an interplay of light and shadow, a world that forever questions the spectator in relation to what is seen.

Resident fellow at Villa Médicis (2015- 2016), Winner at the Impatience Festival (2013), Resident at 104 (Paris), at Main d’Oeuvre (Saint-Ouen), he is currently presenting his latest play, L’Amour et les Forêts, adapted from the novel by Eric Reinhardt, with the participation of Isabelle Adjani.

He is one of the authors of The Cliffs of V.
