Cyril Teste

bio

Cyril Teste was interested in the visual arts before devoting himself to theatre at the Regional School of Actors in Cannes and then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique in Paris. In 2000, he initiated the MxM Collective, of which he became artistic director. With painting and theatre for companions, he looks at the stage as an author, visual artist and video artist. He notably created Direct/Shot in 2004 by Patrick Bouvet, Electronic City in 2007 and Nobody in 2013, a decisive encounter with Falk Richter’s writing. He writes and directs five texts, including the diptych about childhood Reset and Sun in 2011. In 2013, he directed Tête Haute, the first show for young audiences. Associate artist since 2017 at Bonlieu Scène nationale Annecy, he creates the event with Festen after Thomas Vinterberg and Mogens Rukov, a show produced and rehearsed entirely on the Bonlieu stages. He returns to the Annecy scene at the beginning of the 18-19 season with this show and premieres in April 2019 Opening Night with Isabelle Adjani.
